I read the artical on job hopping. Now while i agree with the artical on some points such as how to down play your job hopping and how it is accepted better now than it was ten years ago. I feel that it is pertaining to people older than us, because at our age jobs are jobs at an older age jobs are careers. Do you understand what i am saying at our age it is good to hop around because it gives us a broad area of experince, plus at our age we are going to be moving when ever a job pays more. Now on to that fact of being old, while i said that i agree with most of this article that does not mean all of it. For instance while yes i do believe that switching jobs like 5 times in two years is a bad thing. This is mostly because it shows that you are unstable as an employee and employers won't be able to depend on you for long. A good thing about switching jobs often enough say 5 times in 6 or 7 years shows that you have a varity of experince to bring to the work force. As i have said before there are two sides to every coin.

I chose the article on weather or not you should remove your wedding band or engagement ring at a job interview. I agree with the responses to the articles somewhat. Most of the responses say that you need to be yourself. However I do think that they are lying through their teeth. While I do believe that some people will actually be them selves in an interview others will not. Lets face it some people will take off there wedding band or engagement ring if it gets them a job. Let’s face it as you get older you learn a few things about life and they are not all that pleasant. The biggest one that I am talking about is sex sells, and I do mean this both ways, it will help you get a job if you use it right. If your a women and you are single being interviewed by a man he will look more favorably on you if you are single. The same goes for vice versa, and I know you may want to deny and the people interviewing may not even do it consciously, but it does happen. To a lesser extent if you are not tied down by a family then it allows you to put more time and energy into you job so that is also useful for pretending you are single. Lets just face it people are always going to act in a predictable way.

10 years later

Seeing as how I was never one for making very specific plans for anything more than a day in advance, where I want to be in ten years raises an interesting question. However, there are a few things that I do know. First, I do not wish to leave Clemson University anytime soon. That does not mean I am staying for a masters, haven’t really decided that I want that yet, but I will be staying an extra year doing whatever. I believe that I will more than likely work on a minor, but I also want to experience whatever I can when I can. You see my personality is really laid back to the point most people will call me lazy, which I am not I do accomplish everything that I need to do I just take life and sort of roll with it, enjoy it, and take my time with it. It takes quite a bit of work to push me out of this “center” (I guess would be a good word for it. Let’s see what else do I wish to accomplish in ten year; I suppose that a career would be good. I have never been one that has depended on material need and gain (which is hilarious when you think about it because I am an accountant which is basically all we deal in), I just want enough to support me and whoever comes my way. I will more than likely act like my father in this aspect of life. I will not go in to explaining my father’s principles in this aspect because it will take to long. Finally I guess I hope to be married before 26; this I find is my only definite in life. One reason is that I do not want to be told old to enjoy my kids. Two is that I believe I am somewhat of a romantic, or it least that is what some reliable sources have told me and I want to enjoy being with what I hope is the perfect woman for me for as long as possible.

The title of this video is web 2.0, what it means is that the internet has grown or advance. It is not so much that it has technologically advanced, but that the people who are using it and what they are using it for has grown and changed. All of the people contribute ideas when they log on allowing for the the internet to change it use. These ideas are then circulated allowing for the indivdual person to convey knowledge. the Internet is no longer condsidered a knowledge base but a way to connect to the individual person. It is now a means of communication. People who are preparing to enter the work for use the web to prepare anything from finding the job to learning about the job that they are going into. If you are already in a career then besides the information gathering that the web provides business now conduct business on the web in order to streamline the process. It is true that we will have to rethink several things such as the subjects mentioned at the end of the clip i watched to write this blog. The reason being is that online it gets a little harder to define as who did what, who came up with the original idea and who riped them off. Also as it mentioned commerce because of business online you have to be able to trust who you buy from since they are not visable. I believe the best way to put this is that there must be a huge amount of trust in order for the web to work and since there isn't we must think up new ways to define, change, and enforce the words that were mentioned at the end of this video. Let's face people have trouble trusting anything that is tangiable.
